December 10th-11th, 2016, JF Stables with be hosting a 2-Day dressage clinic with instructor Ali Smallpage. Auditing is free!
Price: $125 for 2 days
Private lessons will take place Saturday evening from 1:00pm-8:00pm, with a group lesson taking place Sunday morning from 9:00am-12:00pm.
JF Stables is excited to welcome back Ali Smallpage for another 2-day dressage clinic to start off the new year, after her last successful clinic in 2016 (see Past News and Events).
Price: $135 for the 2-day session*
$20 to reserve a stall for your horse
Ali has competed and trained horses and students through the CCI* level in eventing. She was the 2016 Chef d'Equipe for the USEA Area 4 renting team that competed at NAJYRC in Colorado. Her student have also placed top ten at the American Eventing Championships. She is sought after for her ability to fill in riders' gaps in their foundations as well as her ability to effect change in a short amount of time.
NO OPENINGS REMAIN, HOWEVER AUDITING IS STILL FREE FOR EVERYONE.

About 75 people braved the bitter cold (the temperature dropped to a -37f windchill at one point!) to participate in our 2016 fundraiser. Thanks to their generous donations, we were able to present the Humane Society of the Lakes with a check for over $1,000!

"Who wants a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet THE Robert Splaine, a recent retiree from Chef d'Equipe of the Irish Show-Jumping Team? Kopet-Dag Akhal-Teke will be hosting Mr. Splaine at JF Stables for a clinic on September 8th-10th. Private Lessons will be offered on Friday. Saturday and Sunday will be a two day clinic format. The clinic will be focused on Show-Jumping for all levels of riding. There will be limited space, so getting entries in ASAP is very important! Will have the entry forms posted shortly along with prices. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to meet and/or ride with such a highly respected coach!"

"For three days, June 15 - 17, the stables were busy with the first ever “Riding Camp at JF Stables”! Each of the campers was eager to learn which horse would be hers for the rest of the week. The day started with a riding lesson. Not only was there an instructor, there was also a volunteer for each camper! There was a quick snack time, before heading back to the stables! To help the camper understand the responsibilities that come with owning a horse, there was a session on horse chores. Then it was off to a craft session. Each camper made two horseshoe picture frames! It was so fun to see what each of them created! Lunch followed in the stable lounge before ending the day back with the horses for another riding lesson! We all enjoyed a quick game reviewing what had been learned that day. Finally, each camper was responsible for grooming and giving some extra TLC to her horse before heading home. Was the camp a success? Watch each camper ride independently through an obstacle course on the final day of camp! See all of them enjoy riding together in the outdoor arena (See the camp videos on our facebook page)! You can judge for yourself! On our part, we ALL enjoyed our time at the “JF Stables Riding Camp” and look forward to our next camp experience!"
